The 5G launch in South Korea: lessons for other operators worldwide

South Korean operators KT, LGU+ and SK Telecom launched their 5G services at the beginning of April 2019. This report looks at the tariffs, devices and packages that are offered as well as the network and technologies that have supported the launches. It also provides some lessons for operators worldwide.
Operators around the world are under pressure to invest in 5G, but they are unsure if they will be able to obtain a return on their investment. The majority of operators are likely to launch 5G networks in the next few years, so they should therefore consider which commercial and technology strategies to implement as soon as possible.
