The Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) is planning to undertake the Perth-Darwin National Highway (PDNH) project in Australia.

The project involves the construction of a 37km highway between Reid Highway and Bindoon via Maralla Road Bullsbrook and Brand Highway Muchea.

The project is divided in three , the southern section spans from Guildford Road to Reid Highway, the central section spans from Reid Highway to Ellenbrook and the northern section from Ellenbrook to Muchea.

It includes the construction of supporting walls, service roads, road separators, pedestrian ways, infrastructure related facilities and the laying of street lines.

Urbsol has been appointed as the study consultant for the project alongside other specialist consultants including BG&E, Coffey, Estill & Associates Pty Ltd, Golder Associates and Upthink and Pracsys. Urbsol is responsible for the traffic engineering and modeling component of the project.

The study process of the project is divided into three sections namely, Reid Highway to Maralla Road Bullsbrook, Maralla Road Bullsbrook to Brand Highway Muchea, and Brand Highway Muchea to Bindoon.

GHD Private Ltd has been appointed as civil engineer.

MRWA received fund amount of US$640 and US$158 from the Australian and Western Australian governments respectively.

John Holland was awarded the construction contract for the southern section.

In June 2016, A joint venture between BGC Contracting and Laing ORourke, Great Northern Connect (GNC), won the construction contract for the central component of the project.

In July 2016, construction activities for the southern section commenced.

The Environmental Protection Authority has recommended the state government to approve the construction of four traffic lanes in each direction.

On January 30, 2017, CIMIC Groups CPB Contractors has won the contract to deliver the northern section.

In April 2017, preliminary works on central section were commenced.

On June 8, 2017, construction activities for the central section commenced.

As of November 2017, pre-construction works are underway on Northern section.

Construction works on all sections are underway and are scheduled to be complete by 2019.

The US$806 million project includes the following:
