This first-of-its-kind report estimates volumes of wood materials used in the U.S. furniture and cabinet industries. An extensive survey of furniture and cabinet manufacturers across the United States was completed in the spring of 1994. The survey provided data that allowed estimation of total volumes of wood materials used by the industries during 1993 and predicted industry use in 1995. The results are segregated by species, quality grade and kind of wood products (including engineered boards); end-products; and region.
