Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation (EEPCo) is a state-owned power company in Ethiopia. The company engages in power generation, transmission, and distribution. EEPCo supplies power to more than 1,896,265 customers. The company has an installed capacity of 2,059.5 MW and produces 88% of power through hydro, 11% through diesel, and 1% through geothermal. EEPCo owns and operates 10,884.24 km of transmission lines and 1,26,038 km of distribution lines. The company has two electric energy supply systems, namely, Interconnected System (ICS) and the Self Contained System (SCS). ICS has a generation capacity of 2022.2 MW, and SCS has a generation capacity of 37.3MW. EEPCo is headquartered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
