Ghana Water Company Ltd (GWCL) is undertaking the Dormaa-Ahenkro-Berekum-Suhum Water Supply Network project in Ghana.
The project involves the construction of a 363km water distribution pipe network.
It includes the construction of a river dam, water diversion structures, a 40,000 tonnes per day (TPD) water treatment plant, pumping stations, control rooms and related facilities, the installation of monitoring systems and safety systems and the laying of 70km of water pipe network and 293km of water distribution pipe network.
On January 28, 2014, a consortium of China Automation Control System (CASC) and Golden State Environment Group Corporation (GSEGC) was awarded a US$299 million design and construction contract.
Under the contract, CACS will provide financing services for this project on condition that the Ghana Ministry of Finance and GWCL will provide the necessary guarantees.
Project is facing delays due to funding approvals from Government Of Ghana.

The project involves the construction of a water supply network across Dormaa-Ahenkro, Berekum, and Suhum districts in Ghana.
