The project is being developed on a 73,000m2 floor area on 5ha of land. It involves the construction of a 282 beds, 9 wards, 1 Small Surgery ward, 3 full delivery rooms, 32 doctor rooms, 19 other professional rooms, 25 procedures rooms, 9 UEH rooms, 15 dialysis sites, eight box ontological Mental Health Unit, Home Hospitalization Unit, Ambulatory Medicine Unit, 6 floors for disable, Heliport, Kinder garden, Auditorium and 551 parking places.

The design contract has been awarded to the architects, Luis Vidal and Swarq.

The land was acquired by the Municipality of Quillota. The tender process was launched in December 2013 but later it was re-launched on July 1, 2015.

Sacyr and OHL have prequalified bidders for the project.

Construction contract awarded to Sacyr and Somague.

In September 2017, Construction works commenced.
